Go Kart Race Results

Seventy businesses participated in the business class. Horicon Bank took first place, Thrivent Financial Services took second place and Lifestar Ambulance took third.

Races were also held in several "faster" car classes. Mike Stroik won the four-cycle open class; Justin Erickson won the Briggs Animal Junior class; Derek Kaat won the Kids Kart class; Nathaniel Strobel won the Briggs Rathead class; Joe Cina won the Briggs Animal Senior class.

 

The raffle winners were: Gordie Boucher Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, high-definition TV; Tyler Breunig, $500 Wisconsin Dells vacation package; Ryan Laufer, $300 Dells vacation package; Januli's Pizzaria, lawn mower; McDonalds, pressure washer, the event raised about $13,000, which will be used for community projects.

 

Kiwanis Early Risers 2007 Duck Derby a Big Success

21st annual event delights families and children of all ages

Ray McIntire, Kiwanis Early Risers President announces another successful July 4th Duck Derby.
 
Here are a few tidbits on the results of the 2007 Kiwanis Early Risers Duck Derby:
 
"First of all, this year's Duck Derby numbers are not final, but we are confident in saying that this year's duck sales and contributions by our Corporate and Family friends were the largest in at least the past 3 years!" McIntire stated. 
 
He continued "We would like to once again thank all of our contributors, and especially Al and Debbie Moehr from Toucan's Custard for helping us to sell so many Family Ducks this year."
 
Best Dressed Family Winners
 
1st Prize, $150 to Amy Hackman, Crest Hill, IL (formerly from West Bend)
2nd Prize, $100 to Amy Narr, West Bend
3rd Prize, $50 to Delisa White, Jackson
Honorable Mentions, $20 each to:  Joyce Wezel, Alex Pouros, Rebecca Gerard, Richard Ashburn and Joel Kastner all from West Bend, Danielle & Mike Mader (2 winners) from Fond du Lac, Steve White and Tyler Narr from Jackson and Bette Nelson and Chris Harris from Campbellsport.
 
Final Race Family Winners
 
1st Prize, $300 to Libby & Becca Hron, West Bend
2nd Prize, $200 to Jane Dietzler, West Bend
3rd Prize, $100 to Craig Syron, West Bend

1st Prize, $100 to the charity of their choice and a placque to Riverside Brewery and Restaraunt of West Bend
